Rick Thedwall

A veteran of the television broadcast industry, Rick joined ATV following an 18-year career at LIN Television, where he helped lead the path through many industry changes, including the first round of retransmission consent (for cash) in 1993 and the introduction of digital television in 1998.  Rick conceived and implemented the nation’s first NCAA digital Multicast, and created the in-house Operations system for the company’s 11-station regional broadcasting Hub in 2002.  As Manager of TV Station Distribution for LIN, Rick was instrumental to the development of a corporate strategy and negotiation of retransmission agreements that created significant value for the company. Prior to his work at LIN, Rick was Programming Manager and Operations Manager for WOC/KWQC-TV in  Davenport, IA; and Production Manager at WDAU-TV/WGBI Radio in Scranton, PA.
